This policy explains the standards used for CloudSync's mobile storage and backup guidance.

Sources and accuracy

We prioritize official operating-system documentation, app store listings and provider help pages for feature descriptions and platform behavior. A provider's marketing claim is not independent proof of performance. Where behavior depends on device, software version, plan or region, readers should check the current official information.

Articles are educational summaries. We do not describe a product as independently tested unless the article specifically explains the testing. Images illustrating storage problems are conceptual and do not show measurements taken from a reader's device.

How recommendations are selected

Recommendations consider the task an app addresses, platform compatibility, ease of reviewing files, backup behavior, privacy information and relevant limitations. An app useful for photo organization is not necessarily a system cleaner or a complete backup service.

Lists are not exhaustive rankings. The first app listed is not a promise that it is the best choice for every reader. Pricing, storage allowances and availability can change; check the provider before purchasing.

Advice that protects important files

We distinguish deleting a local copy from deleting a synchronized file. We encourage readers to confirm that important copies exist and open correctly before changing originals. We do not promise a specific amount of recovered space, universal recovery of deleted files or one-tap removal of protected system data.

Advertising and commercial relationships

Display advertisements are separate from editorial recommendations. The presence of an ad does not mean we have reviewed or endorsed its advertiser. Updates and corrections

We review reported errors and material changes when they come to our attention. We do not promise that every article is updated immediately after a provider changes a feature. A review date, where shown, refers to that content review rather than a guarantee of ongoing product availability.
