Who operates this service

MySetup is a browser-based diagnostic utility operated for the site on which this page appears. For privacy questions, rights requests, or corrections, contact contact@readmtlnovels.com.

This notice applies to the MySetup Gate, the device, internet, display, and browser tools, the supporting pages, and the advertising services shown through them.

Information used by the tools

The tools read available browser and device signals to explain the setup in front of you. Depending on browser support, those signals can include device and model hints, operating-system and browser details, display dimensions and pixel characteristics, connection timing and transfer measurements, language and capability signals, and the current page context.

Many measurements are calculated in the browser. MySetup does not require an account and does not provide an upload or sample-file endpoint. A signed, short-lived handoff or session can carry only the classification and device context needed to continue from the Gate to a tool page.

The browser bootstrap is deliberately kept separate from private handoff tokens, session contents, raw IP addresses, raw full user-agent strings, Gate security responses, and secrets. Aggregated device-coverage records may contain normalized device-gap fields, browser family/version, platform, missing fields, and hit counts; they are not intended to identify an individual.

Gate security and Cloudflare Turnstile

The Gate uses Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode when security checks are enabled. Turnstile runs in the background and evaluates signals to distinguish ordinary visitors from automated abuse. Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum says those signals can include the client IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent header, sitekey, and the associated origin.

MySetup sends a Turnstile token to Cloudflare for verification and may use the request IP transiently for Turnstile and network-reputation checks. The Gate does not use Turnstile signals for advertising or behavioral profiling. A successful check creates a signed, secure, HTTP-only __Host-mysetup_gate cookie that lasts up to 12 hours. Tools may create a signed, secure, HTTP-only __Host-mysetup_session cookie for up to 12 hours so the selected context can continue between pages.

Cloudflare acts under its own privacy terms and may process signals as a service provider for site security and as a controller for improving Turnstile. Read Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

MySetup uses Google AdSense Auto Ads and responsive display ads. The AdSense loader and ad units are provided by Google. Google, other third-party vendors, and participating ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies, along with browser, device, network, and page signals, to serve, measure, limit, and protect advertising.

Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this site or other sites. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the user’s choices, region, account settings, device, and the consent configuration available on the site.

Manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. You can also review industry opt-out choices at aboutads.info. Google’s required AdSense disclosures are available in Google AdSense Required content, and Google’s general privacy terms are available at Google Privacy & Terms.

Where Google displays a consent message or choice control for the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another region, that consent mechanism is supplied and configured through the advertising service. This page provides the disclosure; it does not create a separate consent script.

European and UK privacy rights

For visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the applicable lawful basis depends on the processing:

• Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interests in protecting the service and visitors, or another lawful basis required by local law.
• Providing the requested diagnostic service: processing needed to respond to the visitor’s request and maintain the short-lived handoff/session.
• Advertising cookies and personalized advertising: consent where consent is required. A refusal should not be treated as consent.
• Legal requests and compliance: processing needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or comply with a legal obligation.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and complain to your local data-protection authority. Email contact@readmtlnovels.com and identify the site and right you want to exercise. We may request reasonable information to verify the request.

Cloudflare and Google may process data globally. Their own notices describe their international transfers, retention, safeguards, and independent rights processes.

California privacy choices

For California residents, the categories that may be involved include identifiers and online identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity, browser or device characteristics, approximate technical context, inferred device context, and advertising or interaction information. Sources include the browser, the visitor’s requests, security providers, and advertising providers.

These categories are used for diagnostics, security, abuse prevention, service operation, measurement, and advertising. MySetup does not intentionally sell information for cash. However, advertising technologies may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA when they support cross-context behavioral advertising.

You may request to know/access, delete, correct, or opt out of sale or sharing where those rights apply. Use the consent or privacy choices shown by the advertising service, Google Ads Settings, or email contact@readmtlnovels.com with “California privacy request” in the subject. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. MySetup does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information for advertising.

Retention and service providers

Gate and Tools cookies are short-lived and expire after up to 12 hours. Network-reputation results may be cached for up to six hours under a keyed value rather than a raw IP address. Aggregated coverage data is retained to improve device interpretation and is not designed as a visitor profile. Cloudflare, Google, and other providers may retain information under their own policies and contractual or legal requirements.

MySetup does not knowingly target children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact contact@readmtlnovels.com.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the tools, advertising configuration, security providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the updated notice is available for review; where consent is required, the relevant consent mechanism remains responsible for recording that choice.
